As their names imply, the two most recent pod systems from VAPORESSO, the Q2 SE and LUXE Q2, are compatible with the LUXE Q line of pods. VAPORESSO has a history of producing high-quality goods that continue to improve with time.
With only a few differences, these two devices are uncomplicated pod vapes. The LUXE Q2 is the more upscale model, featuring leather panels, adjustable airflow, and quicker charging, whereas the Q2 SE is the more basic model, priced lower, and lacks those features.
Each device is powered by a 1000 mAh battery. While the current capacity of the pods is 3 mL, certain previous versions of the pods that hold 2 mL are still compatible.
In this review, we will discuss the Luxe Q2’s design, build quality, performance, and battery life.
Design & Build Quality
IThe design of the Q2 and Q2 SE is extremely similar. They are almost the same size, with the key difference being that the Q2 features leather on the front and back, as well as an airflow slider on the side, whilst the Q2 SE does not. The Q2 SE also comes in select colors with a glass casing, but the internals are hidden behind a design, so you can’t see the chip.
Like most basic pods, they are compact and easy to carry around, but they also seem sturdy and well-made. They were perfectly capable of surviving falls. Both include a front-mounted LED battery meter.
Both provide a wide variety of color choices. There are five options on the regular Q2, and eight on the Q2 SE. Sufficient variety to satisfy even the pickiest customer.
Performance
My LUXE Q2 SE only came with one pod, which has a 0.8-ohm mesh coil. The LUXE Q2 kit includes two pods, one with a 0.6-ohm mesh coil and one with a 1.0-ohm mesh coil.
All three coils provide at least 10 refills, indicating that they all have strong coil life and vape effectively with good taste. The 1.0-ohm pod is ideal for tighter MTL vapers, while the 0.8 and 0.6-ohm pods are ideal for people who want a looser draw.
With regard to the battery, both devices are specified as having a 1000 mAh capacity. The Q2 is rated for 2A charging and requires 30 minutes to fully charge, whereas the Q2 SE is rated for 1A charging.
Final Thoughts
In general, VAPORESSO made two excellent pod systems with these; neither one is subpar. It comes down to whether you are willing to pay an additional amount for speedier charging and additional features, or whether you prefer a cheaper model that charges more slowly and lacks.
